Our Community
- Morwell Community Church is very much a part of
our local community. Our church consists of everyday people, who meet
together to encourage each other and those around us.
There are a number of activities that our church is helping, in practical and
caring ways, that you can be a part of.
- Ladies 'Chat 'N Share' group
Meets every Friday from 10:30am, for all sorts of
craft-based activities for women. Card making, flower arrangements,
sewing, folk art, cooking demonstrations, shopping trips are some of the fun
activities that this group is involved in. See Lyn Davis for details.
Women's Refuge Centre
We provide toiletry and basic items to
present to women who have been affected by abuse or domestic violence.
'Community Connect' Morning Teas
This is where we regularly prepare and serve
morning teas to those community groups around Morwell that help serve our
community. It is our heartfelt desire that we can thank these groups,
for sometimes what is a thankless role. Groups we have visited so far
have been - Kurnai College, Commercial Rd. PS, Morwell Police Station and Centrelink Office.
